Tommy John Named Guest Speaker at ‘Roadrunner Baseball Hot Stove Dinner’

Retired MLB pitcher, Tommy John, has been named the guest speaker at the inaugural ‘Roadrunner Baseball Hot Stove Dinner’ scheduled on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Kern County Fairgrounds. The event, presented by Motor City Auto Center, features special guest speaker Tommy John, former Major League Baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tony LaRussa, Joe Torre & Bobby Cox Speak About Their Election into Baseball Hall of Fame – VIDEO

Three of baseball’s winningest managers, Bobby Cox, Joe Torre and Tony La Russa, were unanimously elected to the Hall of Fame on Monday, December 9, 2013. According to ESPN, all three managers were selected on all 16 ballots when the committee met at the MLB winter meetings on Sunday in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The induction ceremony will take place on July 27, 2014 in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Gaylord Perry Named Keynote Speaker at Oral Roberts University Diamond Dinner

TULSA OK. — Former MLB pitcher, Gaylord Perry, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker on Friday, Jan. 31, at Oral Roberts University’s annual Diamond Dinner. The event will take place at the Marriott Southern Hills, located at 1902 East 71st Street S. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A silent auction will begin at 6 pm, with dinner and the evening’s program beginning at 6:30.

Dodgers Legend Steve Garvey Signs Autographs at Dick’s Sporting Goods In Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA. — Dodgers legend, Steve Garvey, appeared at Dick’s Sporting Goods store in the Westfield shopping mall in Palm Desert, CA. on Sunday, November 10. Approximately 350 baseball fans showed up to meet one of the greatest Los Angeles Dodgers players, Steve Garvey, who devoted about two hours to signing autographs at the new Dick’s Sporting Goods store that opened that weekend at the Westfield shopping mall.
