COLLEGE PARK, GA – The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Former Georgia Tech star, Nick Rogers, who was an NFL linebacker from 2002-05, died in a car crash early Monday morning.
The newspaper reports that Rogers, 30, was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in College Park about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning. According to the Fulton County medical examiner, Rogers’ vehicle left the road and struck a power pole.
Rogers was a former star defender at Georgia Tech and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played with Minnesota during the 2002 and 2003 seasons before splitting 2004 with the Packers and Colts. His last season in the NFL was in 2005, when he played with the Miami Dolphins.
