ARLINGTON, TX – Former Dallas Cowboy quarterback, Troy Aikman, along with Joe Buck will be the announcers for the 2011 Super Bowl to be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on February 6th at 6:30 p.m. (ET). Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are set to announce The 2011 Super Bowl in Arlington Texas.
The anticipated football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers is set to be televised on Fox. This will be the first Super Bowl in the Cowboys new stadium.
The Green Bay Packers, who defeated the Chicgo Bears in the NFC Championship game, ended the season at 10-6 and second in the NFC North earning them the sixth seed in the NFC. They won five consecutive games including three straight on the road in playoff games.
The Steelers, who defeated the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game, ended the season at 12-4 and is in first place in the AFC North. The Steelers won their last four games.
BTW: The Arlington mayor wants to make it perfectly clear that the Super Bowl is in the city of Arlington, not Dallas.
