Andrew McCutchen is an outfielder who plays in the majors for the Philadelphia Phillies. Prior to the Phillies, he played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2009 – 2017 along with the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees, both in 2018. McCutchen is a five-time All-Star and was awarded the National League MVP honor in 2013 after hitting.317 along with 21 homers and 84 RBI in leading Pittsburgh to its first postseason appearance since 1992. He also won four consecutive Silver Slugger Awards from 2012 – 2015 while his defensive skills were awarded with a Gold Glove in 2012.

Drafted by the Pirates in 2005 in the 1st round of the MLB Draft, McCutchen debuted with the Pirates in 2009 and came in 4th in Rookie of the Year voting in the National League, hitting .286 with 12 homers and 54 RBI. In his career, McCutchen has earned five N.L. Player of the Month and six Player of the Week honors.

McCutchen was born on October 10, 1986 in Fort Meade, Florida and went to Fort Meade High School. Besides excelling in baseball, where he hit .709 during his last year, McCutchen was also considered a top football prospect. For his play on the field along with his community efforts and sportsmanship, McCutchen was named recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award in 2015.
