Bob Love is a retired forward who enjoyed most of his success with the Chicago Bulls from 1968-1976. He also played for the Cincinnati Royals (1966-1968), Milwaukee Bucks (1968), New York Nets (1976-1977) and Seattle Super Sonics (1977). He was named a three-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-NBA Second Team and three-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team. In his 9 seasons and 592 games in Chicago, Love averaged 21.3 points with 6.8 rebounds. His jersey #10 was retired by the Bulls in 1994, at the time just the second retired number in team history (the first was Jerry Sloan).

Love was born in Bastrop, Louisiana and attended Southern University, where he was an All-American in 1963. He was drafted by the Royals in the 4th round of the 1965 NBA Draft but failed the make the team. As a result, Love spent the 1965-1966 basketball season playing for the Trenton Colonials of the Eastern Basketball League, After being named the Rookie of the Year, he tried out once again for the Royals and made the team. In 1993, Love was hired as the Bulls director of community relations. In 1999, Love wrote a book called “The Bob Love Story: If It’s Gonna Be, It’s Up To Me”. Love has overcome a stuttering problem that he had since childhood to become a successful motivational speaker.
