Haloti Ngata played defensive tackle in the NFL for 13 seasons from 2006-2018, primarily for the Baltimore Ravens (2006-2014) but also the Detroit Lions (2015-2017) and Philadelphia Eagles (2018). He won a Super Bowl with the Ravens (Super Bowl XLVII), was a five-time Pro Bowl selection, two-time first-team All-Pro and three-time second-team All-Pro. He retired in 2018 after amassing a career total of 515 tackles, 32.5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 5 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries and 1 defensive touchdown. It was announced in 2019 that Ngata would be inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor.

Ngata was drafted by the Ravens out of Oregon in the 1st round of the 2006 NFL Draft. While at Oregon, he was a consensus All-American and PAC 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He also won the Morris Trophy in 2005, which is given to the top offensive and defensive lineman in the Pac 10 (now Pac 12). Ngata attended Highland High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2001, he was named first-team USA Today All-USA and the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year. He played in the 2002 Army All-American Bowl and was listed by Rivals.com as the #2 prospect overall in the United States.
