Keith Foulke is a retired pitcher who played in the Major Leagues from 1997 – 2008 for the San Francisco Giants (1997), Chicago White Sox (1997 – 2002) Oakland A’s (2003, 2008) and Boston Red Sox (2004 – 06).

From 2000 – 04, Foulke was one of the best closers in the Majors. In 2003, he was named an All-Star, led the American League in saves with 43 and received the AL Rolaids Relief Man Award. In 2004, he played an important role in helping the Red Sox win their first World Series title, the franchises first in 86 years. During the postseason, Foulke made appearances in 11 of 14 games, allowing just one earned run and recording a 1.80 ERA. In the ALCS against the New York Yankees, Foulke pitched in five games without allowing one run. He was on the mound when the Red Sox recorded the last out to win the Series.

Foulke attended Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas and went on to attend college at Galveston Collge and Lews-Clark State College. He made his Major League debut with the Giants on May 21, 1997 before he was traded to the Chicago White Sox in late July that same year.
