Marcus Trufant is a former NFL cornerback who played professionally for 10 seasons from 2003-2012 with the Seattle Seahawks. During the span of his career, Trufant recorded 644 tackles, 21 interceptions, a pair of touchdowns and six fumble recoveries. He was named a member of the Seahawks 35th Anniversary Team.

In 2003 as a rookie, Trufant recorded 83 tackles and had two interceptions, earning All-Rookie honors from Pro Football Weekly. In 2007, Sporting News named him All-Pro and he also received Pro Bowl accolades. That year, he had 85 tackles and a career-high seven interceptions.

Trufant was a big part of the Seahawks’ 2005 unit that advanced to Super Bowl XL as he tallied 64 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception during the regular season. Towards the end of his career, from 2010-2012, he served as a mentor for Seattle’s younger corners and safeties, including Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas. That group would go on to lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2013.

Trufant played college football at Washington State and was the 11th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2003 NFL Draft by Seattle. While at Wazzu, he earned All-Pac-10 honors as a freshman in 1999. As a senior in 2002, he was named First-Team All-Pac-10 and was a Second-Team AP All-American.
