Mike Tomlin has been the head football coach since 2007 of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In just his second season at the helm of the Steelers, he led Pittsburgh to a 12-4 regular season record and eventual victory in Super Bowl XLIII over the Arizona Cardinals. At age 36 at the time, he became the youngest coach in the history of the NFL to win a championship. Tomlin’s leadership during the 2008-2009 season earned him the Motorola Coach of the Year award and Dapper Dan Sportsman of the Year honors. As of 2020, Tomlin had led the Steelers to six AFC North titles and never had a season where Pittsburgh failed to finish with at least a .500 record.

Prior to becoming head coach of the Steelers, Tomlin was defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2006 and, from 2001-2005, he coached defensive backs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His first NFL job was coaching defensive backs with the Cincinnati Bengals from 1999-2000 and, prior to that, he coached in the college ranks at Arkansas State (1997-1998), Memphis (1996) and Virginia Military Institute (1995). Tomlin was born on March 15, 1972 in Hampton, Virginia and is a 1995 graduate of The College of William & Mary.
