Will Shields is a Hall of Fame offensive guard who played his entire 14-year career from 1993-2006 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in 231 consecutive games and went to 12 straight Pro Bowls, a Chiefs record. Shields never missed a game and failed to start only once, his first game as a rookie At the time, he trailed only Green Bay’s Brett Favre for consecutive starts among active players. Shields was inducted into both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Chiefs Hall of Fame in 2012.

Shields was picked by the Chiefs in the 3rd third-round of the 1993 NFL draft out of the University of Nebraska, where he played from 1989 – 1992. His last year, he was named a consensus All-American and won the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top collegiate interior lineman. Shields was named to the Nebraska All-Century Football Team and the Athlon Sports Nebraska All-Time Team. He is one of only 16 University of Nebraska football players to have his jersey retired and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2003, Shields was the recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in recognition of his work with the Will to Succeed Foundation.
