Green Bay Packer’s star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, made an announcement on his radio show Tuesday, November 5, that he is out for now due to a fractured left collarbone he received during the opening possession of the Packers’ loss Monday night to the Bears. Aaron Rodgers was injured November 4, 2013 on the opening possession of the Packers’ loss Monday night to the Chicago Bears.
After undergoing an X-ray, the fracture was revealed to be on the left (non-throwing) side of his upper torso. Aaron told listeners on 540 ESPN in Milwaukee he was hopeful he would not miss much time. “I feel like I have been a quick healer in the past and hopeful this will be on the short end of whatever prognosis” doctors lay out,” he said.
Rodgers went on to say he was continuing to undergo tests but there has been no talk about when he will return. The hope is he will only be sidelined for a couple of weeks.

Coach Mike McCarthy told the press in an interview at Lambeau field:
“I’m relieved, no doubt. With the new information that was given today, everybody felt better about it. How long? We don’t have our hands around a timeline yet, but I know Aaron is very optimistic and he’ll do everything he can to get back in a timely fashion.”
McCarthy said he that while he was preparing backup quarterback, Seneca Wallace, to start on Sunday against the Eagles, he would not officially rule out Rodgers.
