GULFPORT, MS – University of Arkansas Razorbacks football coach Bret Bielema has been named as keynote speaker for the Mississippi Bowl banquet to be held on Friday, December 2, 2016. The event will take place at at the MGCCC Hospitality & Resort Management Center on the Jefferson Davis Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 2226 Switzer Rd, Gulfport, MS 39507. According to the Kilgore News Herald article, the event is for players, coaches and bowl personnel. The Mississippi Bowl will be played on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. between third-ranked East Mississippi Community College and 13th-ranked Kilgore College:
“The event, for players, coaches and bowl personnel, will be Friday, Dec. 2 … The game pits third-ranked East Mississippi Community College (10-1) against 13th-ranked Kilgore College (6-4), and will be played Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m.”
Game tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students plus a limited number of chairback tickets are available in the main grandstand for $20.

Bret Bielema is the current head football coach at the University of Arkansas. Prior to Arkansas, he coached the University of Wisconsin from 2006-12, compiling a 68–24 record and leading the Badgers to three Big Ten championships. In 2006, he was named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Bielema coached Wisconsin to wins in 17 of his first 18 games, which represents the second-best start to a head coaching career in Big Ten history.
