49ers star quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, recently delivered the keynote speech at the 64th annual Rochester Press-Radio Club Day of Champions Children’s Charities Dinner in New York, where Kaepernick, 25, was also honored as the Sports Personality of the Year.
The Rochester Press-Radio Club, since it’s inception in 1949, has donated more than $1.5 million to local charities. Other notable athletes who have appeared as guest speakers at the annual event include N.Y. Giants, Eli Manning, and Green Bay Packers, Clay Matthew. Kaepernick’s speech and appearance will benefit children.
Coming off of his success and popuarity, Kaepernick has landed several endorsement deals, met with Michelle Obama and mingled with celebrites at the Country Music Awards.
