Daryl Johnston, nicknamed “Moose” because of his large 6 ft 2 in, 242 lb stature, played his entire professional football career from 1989 to 1999 as a fullback for the Dallas Cowboys. Johnston was considered one of the best fullbacks of his day. From 1989 through 1997 Daryl Johnston played in 149 consecutive games, becaming one of the greatest special teams players in Cowboys’ history. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection for 1993 and 1994 plus he was three-time Super Bowl champion for Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII and XXX. Following his career as a professional football player Johnston became a sports broadcaster as a color commentator and NFL analyst.
