Fanatics did a one-off signing with Curry and observed his appeal firsthand.
“There was no question that after the MVP and the title, the velocity of orders picked up,” said Victor Shaffer, executive vice president of Fanatics Authentic. “But we also saw that his fan base was expanding way beyond his traditional markets.” Fanatics is currently selling an 8-by-10 photo signed by Curry for $200 and a signed ball for $400.
Stephen Curry has played guard for the Golden State Warriors since being drafted by the team in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft. He’s best known for his three-point shooting skills. Curry recently signed through 2024 to represent Under Armour, and the jersey he wore in Game 1 of the NBA Finals sold in an auction for $22,000.
