Ozzie Smith will make an appearance from 11:OO a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to meet and greet fans and sign autographs and memorabilia at the Westport Sport Collectible & Autograph Convention. Ozzie Smith is a retired MLB shortstop who played for the San Diego Padres from 1978–1981 and the St. Louis Cardinals from 1982–1996. Smith is a World Series champion for 1982 plus he is a fifteen-time All-Star for 1981–1992 and for 1994–1996. Smith has won numerous awards and honors. He is a thirteen-time Gold Glove Award winner for 1980–1992 plus he is a Silver Slugger Award winner for 1987 as well as the Roberto Clemente Award winner for 1995. The St. Louis Cardinals retired his number 1 in 1996 plus he was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.
