Earl Campbell is a retired NFL running back who played for the Houston Oilers from 1978–1984 and the New Orleans Saints from 1984–1985. Campbell is a five-time Pro Bowl selection for 1978–1981 and 1983 plus he is a three-time First-team All-Pro for 1978–1980. Campbell has earned multiple awards and honors including AP NFL Most Valuable Player for 1979, two-time PFWA NFL Most Valuable Player for 1978 and 1979, three-time NEA NFL Most Valuable Player for 1978–1980 and three-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year for 1978–1980. Earl Campbell was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1991.
