Retired football coach, Gene Stallings, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a benefit dinner for the Lindale ISD Education Foundation this fall. A Legendary Kickoff: An Evening to Support Excellence will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Villa Di Felicita located at 7891 Highway110 North in Tyler, Texas. Master motivator, successful coach and philanthropist are just a few of the words used to describe legendary football coach Gene Stallings’ distinguished career, says PFP Talent Agency.
“We are very excited to have Coach Stallings support our mission and give of his time to help the students of the Lindale ISD,” foundation president Wayne Fletcher said. “This event will be a special opportunity for sports fans and non-sports fans to hear his interesting personal story and enjoy a night of entertainment.”

The evening included a spirited performance by Big Daddy Weave to a capacity audience that included Sheryl Crow, Scott Hamilton, and many others.
Master motivator, successful coach and philanthropist are just a few of the words used to describe Gene Stallings. In his distinguished career, Stallings has received many awards, including SEC and National Coach of the Year. He has also received many humanitarian awards, including the Arthritis Humanitarian Award of Alabama, National Boys Club Alumni of the Year, Dallas Father of the Year and Paris Boys Club Wall of Honor. He is the two-time recipient of the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year Award and in 2000 was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M. He was also awarded the Legends Award from the All Sports Association in Dallas and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
