For the first time since Super Bowl 35, the Super Bowl has been won by the Baltimore Ravens, making Ray Lewis’s one last ride that much sweeter. The Lombardi Trophy is going back to Baltimore. Congratulations Ravens for an incredible game. Take it all in and enjoy it. Ray Lewis goes out on top after the Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl 2013 in New Orleans Feb 3, beating the 49er’s 34-31 in a nail biter that went down to the wire.

Multiple penalties hurt the 49er’s big time with the first screw up coming on the first play of the game with an illegal man on the field. This set the tone for the Ravens to take charge and dominate the scoring in the first half. With a half time score of 21-6, the Ravens then opened the third quarter with a 109 yd run back to make the game 28-6.
Just as it looked like it was all over for the Niners, an intervention in the form of a power outage stopped the game, changing the momentum in favor of the 49er’s. The Niners scored two straight touchdowns bringing the score to 28-20. Now we had a game. But the Ravens in the end held the Niners from scoring the possible winning touchdown with a strong goal line defense to win Super Bowl 34-31 in a shoot out that will long be remembered.
