Antonio Freeman played wide receiver in the NFL from 1995-2003, primarily for the Green Bay Packers from 1995-2001 & 2003 but also the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002. Freeman led the NFL in receiving yards in 1998 and made the Pro Bowl and was named a first-team All-Pro that same year. Freemen played an integral role in the Packers’ winning Super Bowl XXXI, catching three passes for 105 yards, including a Super Bowl-record 81 yard touchdown pass from Brett Favre. The Packers again made the Super Bowl the next year but fell to the Denver Broncos. In that game, Freeman amassed 230 all-purpose yards, which at the time was the third most in the title game’s history. For his career, Freeman totaled 7,251 yards receiving and 61 touchdowns with 477 receptions. He was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2009.
Freeman grew up in Baltimore Maryland and attended Virginia Tech, where for his college career he recorded 93 receptions for a total of 1,534 yards and 16 touchdowns along with 651 yards and one touchdown in punt returns. He’s a member of the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame. Freeman was drafted by the Packers in the 3rd round of the 1995 draft.
