Hugh Douglas played defensive end in the NFL from 1995-2004 for the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars. He‘s best remembered for his time with the Eagles from 1998-2002 and 2004. Douglas was named to the Pro Bowl three times and was a First-Team All-Pro twice while playing for the Eagles. He was also named the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1995. One of the top sack producers in Eagles history, Douglas trails only Reggie White, Trent Cole and Clyde Simmons for the number of sacks in team history with 80.

Douglas was picked by New York in 1995 in the 1st round of the NFL draft (he was traded to Philadelphia in 1998) out of Central State University, where he was twice named NAIA Division I All-American and Defensive Player of the Year. During his college career, Douglas recorded 42 sacks over the span of 32 games and played an important role during his sophomore season in his team wining the NAIA national title. He was born on August 23, 1971 in Mansfield, Ohio and went to Mansfield Senior High School. After retiring from playing, Douglas went into broadcasting, working for WTXF-TV, 610 WIP, BBC America, ESPN and 92.9 The Game.
