Kenny Wallace competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series from 1988-2013. While he competed in 344 races in the Cup Series with 27 top 10 finishes, Wallace enjoyed most of his success in the Xfinity Series (previously known as the Busch Series) and recorded 9 wins and 173 top 10 finishes over the course of 547 races.
In 1989, Wallace posted 12 top 10 finishes and was named the NASCAR Busch Series Rookie of the Year. In 1991, Wallace won the Volusia Speedway Park Spring 200 and Roxor 200. Additionally, he had six other top 10 finishes and was named that year’s NASCAR Busch Series Most Popular Driver, the first of three times receiving the honor. Wallace in 1994 was named for the second time the NASCAR Busch Series Most Popular Driver award after winning a total of four races with top 10 finishes. In 2006, he won the award for the third and final time with four top 10 finishes. His final career Xfinity Series victory came at the 2001 Sam’s Club 200 in Rockingham, North Carolina.
After retiring from the NASCAR circuit, Wallace continued to stay active in racing by competing on dirt tracks across the United States. He also served as a reporter for Fox Sports’ coverage of NASCAR. Born on August 23, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, Wallace is the younger brother of Mike Wallace and NASCAR great Rusty Wallace.
