Eric Crouch played quarterback at the University of Nebraska from 1998 – 2001 and in 2001 won the Heisman Trophy along with the Walter Camp Award and Davey O’Brien Award. He twice was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 1999 and 2001 and was a first-team All-Big 12 selection those same years. During his Heisman campaign in 2001, Crouch completed an impressive 105 passes out of 189 attempts for a total of 1,510 yards with seven touchdowns along with 1,115 yards on the ground with 18 touchdowns.

At the end of his time in Lincoln, Crouch held numerous school records, including most career offensive yards (7,915) and most career touchdowns (88). He is also one of three Division I quarterbacks in NCAA history to throw for 4,000 yards and run for 3,000 yards. Crouch was born in Omaha, Nebraska and attended Omaha Millard North High School, where he was a Parade All-American and named by USA Today as the Nebraska Player of the Year.

After college, Crouch was drafted by the St. Louis Rams and went on to play in NFL Europe and the Canadian Football League. Since retiring from playing, Crouch has worked in medical sales, as a broadcaster and special teams/running backs coach at Midland University in Nebraska.
