Scott Frost is the head football coach for his alma mater at the University of Nebraska, a position he’s held since December of 2017. He was previously the head coach at the University of Central Florida where in 2017, he guided the Knights to an undefeated season including a historic Peach Bowl victory over No. 7 Auburn. He held assistant coaching positions at Oregon, Northern Iowa and Kansas State before becoming a head coach. During his time at Oregon as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he was a finalist for the Broyles Award in 2014, given to the top assistant coach in the nation. During the same season, quarterback Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy and led the Ducks to the National Championship game. Previous to his coaching career, Frost played quarterback at Stanford for two seasons before transferring to become a Cornhusker. In his two seasons in Lincoln, he led Nebraska to a combined 24-2 record. He was a Johnny Unitas Golden Arm finalist in the 1997 season where he became a national champion and the tenth player in college football history to both rush and pass for 1,000 yards. The Lincoln native was then drafted 67th overall in the third round of the 1998 NFL draft by the New York Jets.
