Gilbert Brown is a former NFL nose tackle who played his entire career from 1993-1999 and 2001-2003 with the Green Bay Packers. Brown won Super Bowl XXXI with the Packers and was an integral part of Green Bay’s success during the regular season in which the Packers went 13-3, winning the NFL Central Division and subsequent playoff run. He’d go on to play in 125 career games with the Packers, starting 103 of them. In his 10-year career, Brown recorded 292 tackles along with seven sacks. His 15 playoff games played in a Packers uniform ranks 4th in team history. He’s a member of the Packers Hall of Fame.

Brown played college football at the University of Kansas, where he majored in human development. In his four years with the Jayhawks, he started every game but two from 1989-1992. He ranks in the top 10 for all-time tackles by a defensive lineman in Kansas program history. In 1990, he was named Jayhawks’ Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player while in 1991 he earned Second-Team All-Big Eight honors. After his playing career, Brown turned to coaching, notably as an indoor football coach with the Milwaukee Bonecrushers (2008) and La Crosse Spartans (2010-2011). In 2014, he launched the Bully-Proofing Playbook for Parents, Teachers & Kids to combat bullying among children.
