Harold Carmichael is a Hall of Fame wide receiver who played in the NFL from 1971-1984, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles for 12 seasons (1971-1983) before spending his final year in 1984 with the Dallas Cowboys.

Carmichael was named to the Pro Bowl four times and was a Second-Team All-Pro three times. He was also named to the
NFL 1970s All-Decade Team. At the time of his retirement, he was the Eagles’ all-time leader in catches (589), yards receiving (8,978) and td’s (79). Carmichael is a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, was named to the Eagles 75th Anniversary Team and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Class of 2020.

In 1973, his third professional year, Carmichael led the NFL with 67 receptions and 1,116 yards of receiving while he notched nine touchdowns. From 1973-1983, he led all NFL wide receivers in the major statistical categories of receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.

Carmichael walked on at Southern University and went on to earn All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors. He is a SWAC Hall of Fame inductee. After retiring from playing, Carmichael worked in the Eagles’ front office as the Director of Player and Community Relations and as a Fan Engagement Liaison.
