Jessie Tuggle Booking Agent Details
Jessie Tuggle is a retired NFL linebacker who played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1987 – 2000. After signing as an undrafted free agent in 1987, Tuggle went on to have a stellar career, including being a five-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro. Tuggle had his jersey #58 retired by the Falcons and is a member of the Falcons Ring of Honor. He played an integral role in the Falcons winning the NFC Championship and reaching Super Bowl XXXIII, which they lost to the John Elway-led Denver Broncos, 34-19. Tuggle retired in 2001. In 14 seasons, he tallied 1640 tackles with 21 sacks and six interceptions. At the time of his retirement, Tuggle held the all-time NFL record for touchdowns off fumble recoveries with five.
Tuggle was born in Griffin, GA, and attended Griffin High School, where he received just two Division II football scholarship offers. He attended Valdosta State University, where he tallied a school-record 340 tackles and was named All-Gulf South Conference three times. He was also named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1986. His jersey #88 was retired by Valdosta State. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
