Jordyn Wieber was a member of the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team that won a gold medal in the team competition at the 2012 Summer Games in London. Nicknamed the “Fierce Five”, Wieber was part of the team that included Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney. In 2020, the team was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Prior to the Olympics, Wieber enjoyed a successful junior career and was named to the U.S. National Team for the first time at the age of 11. Wieber went on to capture a gold medal in the team competition at the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships and, two years later, she won an additional two gold medals as well as one bronze. At the 2011 World Championships, she won two gold medals – one in the team competition and another in the individual all-around – along with a bronze in the balance beam event. Wieber was also twice crowned in 2011 and 2012 the U.S. champion in the all-around.

After the Olympics, Wieber enrolled at UCLA. From 2017-2019, she worked with UCLA’s gymnastics squad as a volunteer assistant coach and, in the spring of 2019 at the age of 23, she was named head gymnastics coach at the University of Arkansas. Wieber was born on July 12, 1995 in DeWitt, Michigan.
