Jeff Burton is a retired stock car driver who won 21 times on the Monster Cup NASCAR Cup Series, including the Southern 500 in 1999 and Coca-Cola 600 in 1999 and 2001, along with 254 finishes in the top 10 and 6 pole positions. Burton also had 27 victories on the NASCAR Xfinity Series along with 153 top ten finishes with 11 pole positions.

Burton made his NASCAR racing debut on what was then called the Winston Cup in 1993 and was named the NASCAR Rookie of the Year in 1994 over other rookie drivers such as Jeremy Mayfield, John Andretti and Joe Nemecheck. Burton won his first race in 1997 at the Interstate Batteries 500. In 2013, Burton entered rarified air when he joined just five other drivers who had started 1000 races. Among the teams he raced for included Fil Martocci, Stavola Brothers Racing, Roush Racing, Richard Childress Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing.

In 2015, Burton moved to the broadcast booth and began working as an analyst for NBC Sports’ coverage of the Cup Series and Xfinity Series. Ward was born on June 29, 1967 in South Boston, Virginia and comes from a family of racing. He is the younger brother of Ward Burton and uncle of Jeb Burton. His son Harrison also races competitively.
