Bill Self has served as the men’s head basketball coach at the University of Kansas since 2003 and has been one of the most successful college basketball coaches of his era. Between 2005-2018, Self led the team to a share or better of 14 consecutive Big 12 regular season titles, an NCAA record. He’s also coached the Jayhawks to three Final Four appearances and the NCAA title in 2008 with an overtime win against the University of Memphis. Prior to Kansas, Self was head coach at Illinois (2000-2003), Tulsa (1997-2000) and Oral Roberts (1993-1997). He also previously served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma State and Kansas before taking the job at Oral Roberts. As a player, Self was a four-year letterman at Oklahoma State.
