Minnesota Twins Booking Details
The Minnesota Twins compete in Major League Baseball’s American League Central division along with the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals. The Twins moved to Minnesota in 1961 after playing in Washington as the Senators from 1901-1960. The Twins have played their home games at Target Field since 2010. Prior to that, they played at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome from 1982-2009 and Metropolitan Stadium from 1961-1981.
The Twins have won three World Series, in 1924, 1987 and 1991. In 1991, the Twins defeated the Atlanta Braves in seven games, 4-3. Tom Kelly was the manager and Jack Morris was the MVP. In what’s considered one of the most dramatic moments in Twins history, Kirby Puckett hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to tie the Series and force a game seven. Among the Twins greatest players include Morris, Kent Hrbek, Puckett, Paul Molitor, Torii Hunter, Joe Mauer, Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Johan Santana, Bert Blyleven, Frank Viola, Justin Morneau and Gary Gaetti.
