The Buffalo Bills play in the National Football League’s AFC East division along with the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. The Bills began play in 1960 as an original member of the AFL. In 1970, they joined the NFL after the AFL-NFL merger. They have played their home games at New Era Field since 1973. Prior to that, they played at War Memorial Stadium from 1960-1972. Ralph Wilson owned the Bills from the team’s inception in 1960 until his death in 2014. Terry and Kim Pegula are the current owners.
The Bills won four consecutive AFC Championships between 1990-1993 but lost all four Super Bowls – 20-19 to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXV, 37-24 to the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XXVI, 52-17 to the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVII and 30-13 to the Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVIII.
