The Carolina Panthers play in the National Football League’s NFC South division along with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Panthers began play in 1995 and finished their first season with a 7-9 record, which is the best first-season record ever for a NFL expansion team. The Panthers are one of the few NFL teams that own their own stadium and have played their home games at Bank of America Stadium since 1996. Their training camp takes place at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The Panthers have won two NFC Championships (2013, 2015) but lost both Super Bowls, the first to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII, 32-29, and the second to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50, 24-10.
