Washington Redskins Booking Details
The Washington Redskins play in the National Football League’s NFC East division along with the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. The Redskins began play in Boston in 1932 as the Braves and were renamed the Redskins the following year. In 1937, they relocated to Washington D.C. The Redskins have played their home games at FedEx Field since 1997. Prior to that, they played at RFK Stadium from 1961-1996.
The Redskins have won five championships – two in the pre-Super Bowl era and three since the start of the Super Bowl. Their last three titles came in 1982 (Super Bowl XVII), 1987 (Super Bowl XXII) and 1991 (Super Bowl XXVI). In order, the MVP’s were John Riggins, Doug Williams and Mark Rypien. Joe Gibbs was the head coach for each of those three Super Bowl wins.
