The Denver Broncos play in the National Football League’s AFC West division along with the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers. The Broncos began play as a charter member of the AFL in 1960 and joined the NFL with the merger in 1970. The Broncos have played their home games at Broncos Stadium at Mile High (formerly known as Invesco Field and Sports Authority Field) since 2001. Prior to that, they played at Mile High Stadium from 1960-2000.
The Broncos have won three Super Bowl titles. In the 1997 season, they defeated the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII, 31-24. In the 1998 season, they defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII, 34-19. In the 2015 season, they defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl L, 24-10.
