New York Jets Booking Details
The New York Jets play in the National Football League’s AFC East division along with the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. The Jets were founded as the Titans of New York in 1959 as part of the AFL. The name was changed to the Jets in 1963 and they joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the NFL-AFL merger. They have played their games at MetLife Stadium since 2010. Prior to that, they played at Giants Stadium from 1984-2009.
The Jets won one championship prior to the merger as well as Super Bowl III when they defeated the Baltimore Colts, 16-7, behind the play of MVP Joe Namath. They are one of three NFL teams to have won their lone Super Bowl (the other two are the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
