The Los Angeles Rams play in the National Football League’s NFC West division along with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals. The Rams began play as the Cleveland Rams in 1936 and moved to Los Angeles in 1946. In 1994, they moved to St. Louis, were they played through the 2015 season before relocating back to Los Angeles. They have played their home games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum since 2016.
The Rams won two championships in 1945 and 1951 prior to the NFL-AFL merger and one Super Bowl (XXXIV) while playing in St. Louis. They defeated the Tennessee Titans, 23-16. Dick Vermeil was the head coach and Kurt Warner was named MVP. The Rams are the only franchise to win championships in three different cities – Cleveland (1945), Los Angeles (1951) and St. Louis (1999).
