Brad Ausmus Booking Agent Details
Brad Ausmus has served as manager of the Los Angeles Angels since 2019. Prior to that, he was manager of the Detroit Tigers from 2014-2017. He also managed the Israeli national baseball team at the 2013 World Baseball Classic. As a player, Ausmus enjoyed an 18-year career playing for the San Diego Padres (1993-1996), Detroit Tigers (1996, 1999-2000), Houston Astros (1997-1998, 2001-2008) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2009-2010).
He was named an All-Star in 1999 and won three Gold Gloves. Ausmus twice led MLB in fielding percentage, one time each in assists and putouts and two times each in caught stealing percentage and range factor. When Ausmus retired in 2010, he ranked third all-time among catchers with 12,839 putouts (trailing only Jason Kendall and Ivan Rodriguez) and seventh all-time in the number of games caught. Ausmus was the recipient of the Darryl Kile Award in 2007 and, in 2004, was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (he ranks first in MLB history among Jewish players in career games played).
Ausmus was born in New Haven, Connecticut and attended Dartmouth College. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 47th round of the 1987 MLB draft and played in the minor league system of the Yankees for five years before being selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 1992 expansion draft. After spending a short time in the Rockies minor league system, Ausmus was traded to San Diego, where he made his Major League Baseball debut on July 28, 1993.
