Brad Marchand is a left winger who has played for the Boston Bruins since 2009. He was named an All-Star in 2017 and 2018 and won a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011 after recording 19 points over the course of 25 games, including 11 goals – two in the final game - which tied him with Jeremy Roenick for second-most goals ever in the Stanley Cup playoffs by a rookie. As a result of his efforts, Marchand received the New England Sports Network’s (NESN) 7th Player Award, which was a result of fan voting.

Marchand has also played internationally for Team Canada, winning gold at the 2007 and 2008 World Championships, 2016 IIHF World Championship and 2016 World Cup. In the latter event, Marchand scored the winning goal in the final game and was named to the tournament’s all-star team.

Marchand was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and played AAA midget hockey for the Dartmouth Subways before spending four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he competed for the Val-d’Or Foreurs, Moncton Wildcats and Halifax Mooseheads. Marchand was selected by the Bruins with the 71st pick in the 2006 draft and made his NHL debut on October 21, 2009.
