Brett Keisel is a retired defensive end who played 12 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2002 - 2014. He was a two-time Super Bowl champion (Super Bowls XL and XLIII) and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2010. For his career, Kisel tallied 408 tackles, 30 sacks, 9 fumble recoveries, 7 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions and 1 defensive touchdown. Keisel was drafted by the Steelers in the 7th round of the 2002 NFL Draft.

Keisel grew up in Greybull, Wyoming and attended Greybull High School, where he lettered four times in basketball and football and twice in track. He was named USA Today Wyoming Player of the Year his senior season before playing collegiately at Brigham Young University.

Keisel is famous for his beard, which he first began growing while on a hunting trip. Each year, Keisel holds “Shear Da Beard” fundraisers, where he shaves his beard with proceeds benefitting Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In the first eight years of the event, he raised over $800,000. Keisel is an outdoor enthusiast and started a company called Mighty Oak Adventures, which provides hunting and fishing retreats for corporate groups and executives.
