Gerry Sandusky is the current voice of the Baltimore Ravens, providing play-by-play commentary during the team’s NFL games. A native of Baltimore, Sandusky additionally serves as sports director for WBAL-TV, overseeing the station’s sports coverage since 1988. Sandusky is a graduate of Towson University (1983), where he played football, and has won two Emmy Awards (1992, 2003) for his reporting. His broadcasting duties in addition to the Ravens include the Towson Tigers men’s basketball team. He previously provided pregame coverage of the Baltimore Orioles. He is the recipient of two Edward R. Murrow awards, “honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism.” He began his sportscasting career in Miami working for WSVN-TV.

In 1993, Sandusky and his wife established the Joe Sandusky Fund in honor of his late brother. The nonprofit raises money and provides scholarships to Baltimore-area students in need of financial assistance. Sandusky is the author of the New York Times bestseller, Forgotten Sundays: A Son\'s Story of Love, Loss and Life from the Sidelines of the NFL.
