Jeff Hammond has served as an analyst for Fox Sports’ coverage of NASCAR since 2000. Among the shows he’s worked on include NACAR Raceday-NGOTS, Fox NASCAR Sunday, NASCAR Race Hub and NASCAR Raceday. He’s also co-hosted the Monster Energy All-Star Race and Can-Am Dual at Daytona. Additionally, Hammond has provided commentary on ESPN, Turner, TNN and SiriusXM. In 2006, Hammond was nominated for a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Sports Person-Studio Analyst.

Prior to his broadcast career, Hammond worked as a crew chief for several drivers, including Darrell Waltrip, Chad Little and Kurt Busch. Hammond and Waltrip formed one of the top teams during their time together in the 1980s recording 43 wins, including the Winston Cup title (1985) and Daytona 500 (1989). He got his start in NASCAR as a tire changer in 1974. Among the other drivers Hammond has worked with are Cale Yarborough and Terry Labonte.

Hammond grew up in North Carolina and was a high school football All-American in 1973-1974, He went on to play college football under Pat Dye at East Carolina University until an injury ended his career in 1975. In addition to his broadcast duties, Hammond is owner of Pit Training and Instruction in Mooresville, North Carolina.
