Morten Andersen is a former collegiate and NFL placekicker from Copenhagen, Denmark. Andersen enjoyed a 26-year career in the NFL between 1982- 2007. In 2017, he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame — only the second exclusive kicker to be so honored (along with Jan Stenerud). After playing college football at Michigan State and earning All-American honors in 1981, Andersen joined the New Orleans Saints from 1982-1994, where he went on to make six Pro Bowl appearances, including four straight in 1985-89.

Andersen is a member of New Orleans Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor and holds the NFL record with 382 games played and 709 field goals attempted. A member of both the NFL’s 1980s and 1990s All-Decade teams, Andersen played for Atlanta from 1995-2000, earning his final Pro Bowl appearance in 1995. During his career, he was also a five-time first team All-Pro selection. From 2001-2004, he spent time with the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings before rejoining Atlanta in 2006-07 to round out his playing days. Andersen was inducted into the Michigan State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011 as well as the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame the same year.
