Brian Burke Booking Agent Details
Brian Burke is a longtime NHL executive and current broadcaster. He most recently served from 2013 - 2018 as president of hockey operations for the Calgary Flames. He previously worked as general manager and president of the Toronto Maple Leafs (2008-2013) and as gm of the Anaheim Ducks (2005-2007), where he won the Stanley Cup in 2006-2007, and in the same capacity for the Vancouver Canucks and Hartford Whalers. Burke additionally oversaw the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team as general manager during the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver and as the director of player development for the team four years later at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. He has also served on the board of directors for Rugby Canada.
After his time with the Flames, Burke moved to the broadcast booth and has worked as a hockey analyst for Rogers Media and Sportsnet. Known for his philanthropic work, Burke has supported numerous organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior Project, Ducks Unlimited and the Canadian Safe School Network. In 2011, he was the recipient of the Easter Seals Toronto Tribute award. In 2020, Burke authored the book “Burke’s Law: A Life in Hockey”. Burke was born on June 30, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island and grew up in Edina, Minnesota. He played in the American Hockey League for a little over a season before attending Harvard Law School.
