Bronson Arroyo is a former MLB pitcher who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2000-2002), Boston Red Sox (2003-2005), Cincinnati Reds (2006-2013, 2017) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2014). As a member of the Red Sox in 2004, Arroyo recorded a 10-9 record with a 4.03 ERA and142 strikeouts in helping the team win its first World Series title since 1918. During his time with the Reds, Arroyo earned his only All-Star appearance in 2006. That season, he led the majors in innings pitched (240 2/3), compiled a 14-11 record and 3.23 ERA. In 2010, Arroyo won a Gold Glove for his defense and finished 10th in voting for the N.L. Cy Young Award after going 17-10 with an ERA of 3.88.

Drafted by the Pirates in 1995, Arroyo made his Major League Baseball debut on June 12, 2000. After his tenure with the Reds, Arroyo played briefly with Arizona in 2014 before rejoining the Reds for his final season in 2017. During his 16-season career, Arroyo tallied a record of 148-137 along with a 4.28 ERA and 1,571 strikeouts. Off the baseball diamond, Arroyo is an accomplished musician and released an album in 2005 called Covering the Bases. Arroyo was born on February 24, 1977 in Key West, Florida.
