Jack Ham is a former NFL outside linebacker who played his entire career from 1971-82 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A member of the Steelers’ famed “Steel Curtain” defense during the 1970s, Ham was an instrumental part of the Steelers’ teams that four Super Bowl titles. Ham was selected to eight straight Pro Bowls from 1973-80 and was a six-time first-team All-Pro selection from 1974-79. He recorded 32 sacks and 21 fumble recoveries during his career. Ham was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1975 and was named to the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team and NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988.

Ham played college football at Penn State. In three years as a starting linebacker, he helped lead the Nittany Lions to an overall record of 29-3. In 1970, he earned consensus All-American honors. In 2014, the Big Ten Network named Ham to the “Mt. Rushmore of Penn State Football” along with Shane Conlan, LaVar Arrington and John Cappelletti. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1990. Since retiring, Ham has worked as an analyst for Westwood One and the Penn State Radio Network.
