Lynn Swann Booking Agent Details
Lynn Swann is a Hall of Fame wide receiver who played with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974-1982. Swann won four Super Bowls (IX, X, XIII and XIV) and was named Super Bowl X MVP behind a four-catch, 161-yard performance as Pittsburgh beat Dallas, 21-17. In so doing, he became the first wide receiver to win a Super Bowl MVP award. A three-time Pro Bowler in 1974, 1975 and 1978, Swann was first-team All-Pro in 1978 and second-team All-Pro in 1975 and 1977.
A member of the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, he also won the NFL Man of the Year Award in 1981 for his volunteer and charity work. Swann retired in 1982 having caught 336 passes for 5,462 yards and 51 touchdowns. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. Swann was drafted by the Steelers out of USC in the 1st round of the 1974 NFL Draft. While at USC, Swann won a national championship in 1972 and was a unanimous All-American in 1973.
After his playing days ended, Swann worked as a broadcaster from 1976-2006 and provided commentary for six Olympics, the 2006 Sugar Bowl, the Iditarod Trail sled dog race, Monday Night Football, the Kentucky Derby and more. In 2002, President George W. Bush named Swann the chairman of the U.S. President’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. In 2016 Swann was named athletic director at his alma mater.
