Jim Boeheim Booking Agent Details
Jim Boeheim has served as the men’s head basketball coach at Syracuse since 1976. In that time, he has led the Orangemen to 10 Big East titles during the regular season and five Big East Tournament titles along with 34 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, five Final Fours and an NCAA national championship in 2003. Boeheim is one of three coaches (the others are Mike Krzyzewski and Bob Knight) in the history of NCAA men’s basketball to record at least 900 victories. Boeheim was four times named Big East Coach of the Year and, in 2010, he won a host of national coach of the year awards, including the Naismith, NABC, Associated Press and The Sporting News. Boeheim was also honored in 2006 with the John R. Wooden Legends of Coach Award and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005 and College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
In addition to coaching at Syracuse, Boeheim has also enjoyed success as an assistant coach for the United States men’s national team, winning three Olympic gold medals (2008, 2012 & 2016), two FIBA World Championship gold medals (2010 & 12014) and two FIBA World Championships bronze medals (1990 & 2006). Born on November 17, 1944 in Lyons, New York, Boeheim went to college at Syracuse, where he walked-on to the basketball team. He got his start in coaching in 1969 when he was hired as a graduate assistant at his alma mater. Away from the court, Boeheim became involved in Coaches vs. Cancer after being diagnosed in 2001 with prostate cancer. He also created in 2009 along with his wife the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation.
