Rob Dibble is a former MLB pitcher who played from 1988-1995, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds (1988-1993) but also briefly with the Chicago White Sox (1995) and Milwaukee Brewers (1995). As part of the Reds’ “Nasty Boys” pitching crew along with Randy Myers and Norm Charlton, Dibble in his career had a 2.98 ERA and was one of the premiere relief pitchers of his day. In 1990, he was named an All-Star and helped lead the Reds to a World Series title as Cincinnati swept the Oakland Athletics in four games. Dibble was the winning pitcher in Game 2 and also earned NLCS MVP honors leading up to the Fall Classic as the Reds defeated Pittsburgh, 4-2.

During the 1990 regular season, he went 8-3 with a 1.74 ERA, posting 136 strikeouts in just 98 innings pitched. In 1989, Dibble notably pitched an immaculate inning, recording a nine-pitch, three-strikeout outing. Dibble was again named an All-Star in 1991 as he posted a career-high 31 saves with the Reds to go along with a 3.17 ERA. Since his playing days, Dibble has enjoyed a successful career in radio and television broadcasting and has worked for such outlets as ESPN, FOX and SiriusXM.
