Steve Wisniewski spent 13 seasons from 1989-2001 playing as an offensive guard for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. Wisniewski played 206 games in his career and is a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He earned back-to-back first-team All-Pro honors in 1991 and 1992 and second-team All-Pro accolades six times in 1990, 1993-1996 and 2000. Wisniewski was eight times named to the Pro Bowl, including six straight seasons from 1990-1995, and again in 1997 and 2000. When he retired after the 2001 season, he was tied for the most Pro Bowls with Raiders greats Howie Long, Art Shell and Tim Brown (who later passed him).

Known for durability during his career, Wisniewski missed a total of two games due to injury, one per season in 1989 and 1991. The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the second round of the 1989 NFL before immediately making a trade with the Raiders. Wisniewski played college football at of Penn State, where he won a national title in 1986 and earned back-to-back All-American honors in 1987 and 1988. In 2011, Wisniewski returned to the Raiders as an assistant offensive line coach. He also also coached the offensive line at Stanford for one season. A devout Christian, in 2015 Wisniewski authored the book "Hand on the Line: Challenging Men To Follow God's Call".
